Northern Arizona University: 02/11/11

I performed at Northern Arizona University located in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ. Flagstaff is only about a 3 hour drive from Vegas so it was nice to not have to get on an airplane to go up there for once. Plus, my wife was able to go with me so we made it into kind of a Valentine’s weekend. The crowd was awesome and the show was SO much fun. I shared the bill with a unique variety act out of LA, Brett Loudermilk.

Adventure of the Seas: 1/30/11 – 1/06/11

I performed on Royal Caribbean’s “Adventure of the Seas” traveling from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Curacao, Aruba, Dominica, and St. Thomas. I just happened to run into my good friend’s in-laws who were traveling on the ship that week. I did my “How to Juggle” workshop and they attended… and just COULDN’T get it. It was pretty funny. So funny in fact, click HERE to watch the video… HA!
Entertainment wise, it was a good week. I got to hang with my good friend and comedian Don Barnhart as well as comedian Craig Carmean! Fun times!

Mariner of the Seas: 01/02 – 01/16/11

Jan 2 – Jan 16: I performed onboard Royal Caribbean’s “Mariner of the Seas” traveling down the Mexican Riviera. Over the past few years I’ve been on this cruise ship a lot as the home port is Los Angeles and it’s very easy for me to drive down from Vegas. The ship (along with many other cruise ships) are no longer going out of LA, so this was my last chance to perform here before it heads to Brazil, then over to Europe! I worked with some good friends: Comedian Steve Smith, Comedian Greg Otto, and Comedian George Kanter. I also worked with the Beatles tribute band “Revolution” as well as Las Vegas Legends “The Scintas!
While in Mazatlan, I ran into my good friend Joseph Tran who is a magician and was working on a Holland America ship. We were able to hang out for a few hours and have a few beers in the ship terminal before getting back on our respective floating vessels.
Getting off the ship on Sunday morning, I was walking through the cruise terminal and just HAD to take a picture of this guy… Apparantly I was on the ship the entire week with “Father Time…”

Mariner of the Seas: 11/21 – 12/05/10

Nov 21 – Dec 5: I performed onboard Royal Caribbean’s “Mariner of the Seas” traveling down the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. I was onboard the ship over Thanksgiving and I was lucky enough to have my wife come with me for the first week, then my mom and dad cruised the second week! I performed with some great acts including comedians Don Barnhart and Tim Jones as well as singer impressionist Scott Record.
I love the Mariner of the Seas. It’s definitely one of my favorite cruise ships to perform on. I’ve made a lot of good friends over the year as I’ve been on this ship quite a bit including Canadian olympic figure skater Vaughn Chipeur. Also, they take their dodge ball VERY seriously here… Which I love!
I’ll be back on the Mariner Jan 2 – 16, 2011 performing on the ship’s last run to the Mexican Riviera before it heads down to South American and then to Europe. If you feel like coming on a last minute cruise out of LA… Book dis’ like all quick.

Hermosa Comedy and Magic Club: 11/16 – 11/20/10

Nov 16 – 20: I did my little skit at the Hermosa Beach Comedy and Magic Club. I performed with a TON of different comedians including: Lachlan Patterson, Laurie Kilmartin, Gary Cannon, Heidi Foss, Jerry Rocha, Maronzio Vance, Butch Bradley, and Taylor Williamson.
I do this club about twice a year and the crowds are always great, the food is amazing, and it’s a good venue for all my LA peeps to come see me. I’ll be there again June 14 – 18, 2011… So… You know… Come on by.
Check out the video of my week at Hermosa here! I shut down some hecklers and have time-lapse footage of me coloring in my “brick in the green room.” Hermosa’s entire back room is made of cinder blocks and over the years, a lot of the performers have taken a single block and made it their own by signing it or writing something clever. Everyone from George Carlin to Jay Leno to Me… have a block.

Mike Rayburn and Friends: 11/05 – 11/06/10

Nov 5 – 6: I performed in the old “What Happens In Vegas” showroom with my good friend and fellow WHIV co-star Mike Rayburn in his new “Mike Rayburn and Friends” show. Great turnouts and I look forward to working more with Mike in 2011!
Mike Rayburn and Friends” is built upon Mike’s hilarious, musically amazing show. However, with the increased time and artistic freedom of having his own show, Mike has added new material and an amazing medley he makes up based on audience requests… you never know what to expect. Ahh… but don’t order yet… The most important part is that “Mike Rayburn and Friends” will also feature one or two performer friends of Mike’s opening every show… and Mike has some friends who are INCREDIBLE performers. They will include 9-time World Champion Juggler Ivan Pecel… who, as he says it, “Makes juggling tolerable.” Jeff Civilico… a physical comedian and world class juggler who is hilarious and 100% energy! Mark Kornhauser… a true entertainer in the best sense of the word… he’s done the Tonight Show and toured the world with his hilarious, magical, unpredictable show. Award winning, 20-year old magical marvel, Tommy Wind, and plenty of others.

NCL Star: 11/01 – 11/04/10

Nov 1 – 4: I performed onboard the “Norwegian Star” traveling to the Western Caribbean. I was only there a short time (Flying into St. Kitts and home 3 days later from Miami) but got to hang with my good buddy and cruise director, Ray Carr and also got to work with comedian Buzz Sutherland and magician Chris Blackmore.

Thomas College: 10/16/10

I had my show at Brandeis University the night before… I got up very early and drove the 200 miles from Waltham, MA to Waterville, Maine in order to make my show at Thomas College. It was a nice drive as all the leaves were changing colors and me, living in Las Vegas, don’t know what leaves are. I made it up to Maine in plenty of time and checked into my $39.90 a night room at the “Super 8 Waterville.” There was a Taco Bell across the street from the hotel so I was in luck. The hotel let me borrow a blow-dryer from the front desk but not before the young girls working the counter snickered at me for using a hair taming device.
I drove to the show that night, set up, and got ready to rock. The crowd came in and they were AMAZING! To date, I can honestly say they were the best college audience I’ve performed for. The theater they had me in was packed with people (young and old) that were there to have a good time! A lot of funny things happened, I have two videos from the show that you can check out: Video 1 & Video 2. It was parents weekend at Thomas College which means I got to do one of my favorite jokes specific to colleges… I have a guy that goes to the school and a mom of one of the students on stage. I’m talking to them for a while then I say, “I’m so glad that the schools decide to do parents weekend. This shows you what college life is REALLY LIKE. Tonight there’s a juggler, tomorrow there’s a petting zoo and bake sale, Don’t worry mom and dad, there’s NO time for beer kegs or bong hits with ALL THESE activities they have planned for us…” It’s funny.
Anyways, good times. I had to get up at 3 am to make it out for my 7 am flight. I had a layover in Charlotte, NC and I ran into my good friend Mark Nizer. He made me a sign as I got off the plane cause that’s the kind of friend he is.

Brandeis University: 10/15/10

Oct 15th, I performed at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. Great crowds and I had a lot of fun. Got some cool shots from the show as well.

NCL Jewel: 10/5 – 10/10/10

This was a quick 5-night trip on Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Jewel.” I joined the ship part way through it’s journey in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We then went to Sydney, Charlottetown, and I ended up getting off the ship in New York City, NY. I worked with some cool new people: Hypnotist Brenda Kaye and Singer/Instrumentalist Harry O’Donoghue. Quick Trip. Good Times.
